THE CCBALL SWINGS THROUGH DIFFERENT POSITIONS. YOU CHOOSE HOW TO MOVE, STRIKE OR DEFEND.

CHOOSE A RESPONSE TO SEE HOW IT CAN CHANGE
Knee
Knee with good technique
The return can bring the CCBall into different heights, angles and distances, so you have to judge how to close the space, position your body and drive the knee into the target.need a response heading
RANGE You need enough space to drive the knee cleanly. Too far and you risk overextending or losing balance; too close and you may not have enough room to generate force.
ANGLE The CCBall’s angle changes how you need to position your hips and body for the knee to land cleanly.
TIMING The CCBall’s return changes when the knee needs to arrive, so you have to judge when to step in and commit.
Technique Sometimes you can execute cleanly; other times you have to adapt your mechanics to make the strike work.
Sweep
SWEEP THE BASE AWAY.
Take the base away. Use the lowest CCBall to practise timing, placement and control through a sweeping action.
DISTANCE Changes how far you need to reach or extend.
ANGLE Changes the position from which the response makes sense.
TIMING Changes how quickly you need to act.
CHOICE Changes which version of the response you choose.
Frame
BUILD THE FRAME
The CCBall gives you a moving point to frame against, so placement, timing and the amount of pressure all have to fit the return.
DISTANCE How extended or compact the frame needs to be. At longer range you may meet the return further from the body; closer in, the frame has to become tighter.
CONTACT What part of the arm or hand meets the return, and where that contact happens. A frame can be made with the hand, forearm or a more compact structure depending on the situation.
ANGLE The orientation of the hand, forearm and elbow changes the structure of the frame and the direction it can resist or redirect movement.
DIRECTION A frame does not always act straight forward. It can hold space, be used to blind an opponent, guide something across the body, redirect it outward, or create space to move around.
Clinch
Clinch and control the head
CCBall cannot reproduce a real clinch because there is no opponent torso, neck resistance, balance, or hand-fighting pressure. What it can give you is a moving central line and a small “head” reference that you can organise your arms, frames and position around.
Grip Position Single hand, double hand, left/right dominant control.
Arm position Inside control, outside position, framing, pummelling around the string.
Head position Left side, right side, forehead close, changing level.
Angle Square-on, slightly off-line, stepping around the ball.
Elbow
Practice Elbows from Positions
The CCBall lets you show spinning, horizontal, diagonal, upward/downward elbows, and more.
Range Elbows are short range weapons so distance must be judged accordingly
Parry
Parry & Redirect
Use a light touch to change the ball’s line, then respond to the new path it creates.
Direction Redirect the ball left, right, up or down to change its return path.
ANGLE Change the angle of your hand or forearm to alter how the ball is redirected.
Duck/Roll
THERE ISN'T ONE FIXED VERSION.
As distance, position and timing change, the response can change with them.
DISTANCE Changes how far the response needs to reach.
POSITION Changes the body position from which the response makes sense.
TIMING Changes how quickly the response needs to happen.
CONTROL Changes how much movement or commitment can be used while staying organised.
Catch
Release
Sets when you release the hand to strike, move, or take another position.
SLIP
FREE TO MOVE. BUILT TO RETURN.
Unlike equipment that moves through a more fixed arc or track, the CCBall can swing, rebound and return on different lines and at different speeds. You choose how and when to use head movement.
TRACKING The CCBall is small and can move at high speed across different lines and positions. Keeping it in view becomes more demanding as the movement changes, and with multiple CCBalls in play you may need to track more than one moving target at the same time.
TIMING Fighting with the CCBall is a tight interaction. Its return can change in speed, line and timing, so you have to judge exactly how to slip.
AMOUNT Fighting is often a game of inches. With the CCBall, you have to judge how much head movement the return actually requires: enough to clear the line, but no more than necessary, so you stay balanced, in position and ready to respond.
Direction The CCBall can return on different lines and from different positions, so the answer is not always the same movement. You have to judge which direction takes your head off the line while leaving you in a useful position to respond.
STEP
Footwork wins Fights
Move around the CCBall and your range, angle and line to the target change with you, opening different strikes, evasions and counters.
DISTANCE Changes how far you need to move to reach the CCBall.
ANGLE Changes the direction your footwork needs to take.
TIMING Changes how quickly you need to act.
CHOICE Changes how you use your feet to set up strikes, stay balanced and take position.
PUNCH
PUNCHES IN EVERY SHAPE AND RANGE.
Punching alone contains a huge range of possibilities. Straights, hooks, uppercuts, overhands, shovel hooks, check hooks, long and short shots, head and body attacks, all changing with range, angle and position.
DISTANCE As the CCBall moves, its distance from you changes, so you have to judge how far your punch needs to travel to meet it.
ANGLE Because the CCBall can move freely through the room, its return can bring the target back at different angles and positions, so you have to judge the direction and shape of the punch you use to meet it.
TIMING Punching with the CCBall can be a tight interaction. Its return can change in speed, line and timing, so you have to judge when to punch and how much power to use to meet it where it is.
Height The CCBall moves through different heights as it swings, changing the level of the target. Add a second CCBall and body shots enter the exchange, opening up coordinated multi-level punching sequences.
KICK
THERE ISN'T ONE KICK.
Different distances, positions and timings can call for different versions of the same kick.
DISTANCE Changes how far you extend or whether you need to step.
ANGLE Changes how you position the body to reach the target.
TIMING Changes how quickly the kick has to arrive.
POWER Changes how much commitment can be used while staying in control.
BLOCK
DEFENCE CHANGES WITH THE PROBLEM.
The line, timing and position of the target change how you organise the defensive response.
LINE Changes where the defence needs to meet the target.
TIMING Changes when the defence needs to happen.
POSITION Changes what defensive shape is practical.
CONTROL Stay balanced enough to keep working afterwards.
RANGE OF MOVEMENTHow far the body can reach, rotate, step and reposition. BIOMECHANICSHow the body organises joints, limbs and force to produce movement. BASE OF SUPPORTHow the feet create the platform you move and strike from. CENTER OF MASSHow bodyweight shifts as you move, strike and recover. WEIGHT TRANSFERHow mass moves through the body during an action. ROTATIONHow the hips, torso and shoulders turn through a strike. MOBILITYHow freely you can move through available positions. STABILITYHow well you control those positions while acting. BALANCEHow you stay organised as position and momentum change. RECOVERYHow efficiently you return to a usable position after acting.
WHY CCBALL IS DIFFERENT

THE DESIGN SHAPES THE TRAINING.

01

SMALL TARGET

PRECISION + TRACKING

A smaller moving target demands cleaner placement. Strike it, follow its movement and find it again as the exchange develops.

With multi-ball setups, attention needs to extend across more than one moving target - multiple object tracking.

02

LIGHTWEIGHT TARGET

CONTROL + RECOVERY

Less mass absorbs the strike, so you have to manage your own balance, control and recovery.

03

DIFFERENT MOVEMENT

TIMING + ADJUSTMENT

As the target moves, its position changes what you can do next: when to act, where to move and which response makes sense.

04

WALL REBOUND + CORD

CONTINUOUS PLAY

The wall drives the return, creating something you may need to defend, evade or counter. The cord keeps the target moving and in play so the exchange can keep developing.

The Beginning
The CCBall Story

I wanted to keep training

I wanted somewhere I could practise striking when the normal options were not available.

So at university I started experimenting.

At first, the objective was simple: create something I could actually hit and train with at home.

I was trying to solve my own training problem.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is CCBall and how does it work?

CCBall is ceiling-mounted wall-rebound training equipment. Strike the lightweight foam-rubber ball toward a suitable solid wall. It rebounds back into the training space, giving you a moving return to read, evade, defend against or counter.

How far from the wall should I install CCBall?

Position the ceiling mount 18 inches (about 46 cm) out from the wall. Use a suitable ceiling fixing and a suitable solid wall, and keep the surrounding training area clear.

How much space do I need?

You need enough clear floor space to strike, move, evade and recover safely. CCBall is compact, but it is not a zero-space trainer. The usable area depends on how much movement you want to bring into the session.

Can I use more than one ball?

Yes. CCBall can be configured with up to 3 balls at different heights. Changing the number, height and arrangement changes the returns you have to deal with and keeps training varied.

What can I train with CCBall?

CCBall is designed for boxing, kickboxing and Muay Thai practice. Use it for punches, kicks, combinations, timing, accuracy, movement, visual tracking, defence and responding to changing returns.

CCBall Conduit

What is CCBall Conduit for fighters, coaches and gyms?

CCBall Conduit is an optional referral and partner system for approved fighters, coaches, gyms and other members. It gives you a way to introduce people to CCBall and have qualifying sales attributed back to you.

Do I need to buy stock or become a retailer to use Conduit?

No. Conduit members do not need to buy or hold inventory. Customers purchase from CCBall directly, and CCBall handles the order, payment and fulfilment. A gym can therefore participate in Conduit without becoming a retailer.

How are Conduit referrals attributed?

Attribution can come through your personal Conduit link, QR code or other assigned referral route. When available at checkout, customers can also identify the fighter, coach, gym or Conduit member who introduced them to CCBall, so a genuine word-of-mouth recommendation can still be recognised even if the customer returns later and buys directly. If attribution claims conflict, CCBall may use its records to determine the applicable referral.

How do Conduit members earn?

Rewards or commission depend on the Conduit offer assigned to you. A reward is earned only from a qualifying purchase under that offer, not simply from sharing a link or generating a click. Earnings are not guaranteed. Cancelled, refunded, charged-back, fraudulent or otherwise ineligible orders may not qualify, and related rewards may be withheld or reversed.

How can I promote CCBall through Conduit?

Use the method that fits your audience and location. You can share CCBall visual assets online, recommend the product by word of mouth, demonstrate it in training, or display CCBall posters and QR materials in relevant physical locations with permission. Fighters might share training content, coaches might recommend CCBall to students, and gyms might display materials where members or visitors will see them. There is no required posting schedule.

What promotional materials can Conduit members use?

CCBall provides approved visual assets for Conduit members to use when promoting the product. These can include images, posters, QR materials, product explanations and other promotional media. Use the supplied or approved versions where possible, and do not materially alter CCBall branding, product appearance or claims in a way that could mislead people about the product or offer.

What rules should I follow when promoting CCBall?

Keep promotion accurate, transparent and respectful. Do not make product, performance, safety or earnings claims that CCBall has not approved; do not imply that you are a CCBall employee, agent or authorised representative unless that is your actual relationship; do not spam or use deceptive promotion; and only display posters or other materials where you have permission. If you may receive a reward or commission from a promotion, make that commercial relationship clear to the audience where required.

Can Conduit participation or rewards be suspended or removed?

CCBall may suspend Conduit access, reject attribution or withhold or reverse rewards where activity is fraudulent, manipulated, misleading, unauthorised or otherwise outside the applicable Conduit offer or rules. Future offers, reward rates and eligibility conditions may also change; qualifying activity is assessed under the offer and conditions that apply to it.
